LUMIX Tether compatibility: cameras, versions and connections

Support is granted per camera body in a specific application release. A body that is on the supported list will still be invisible to an older install. The "minimum version" column below is the release in which Panasonic added that model.

On recent macOS releases, connecting several cameras over USB at the same time is documented as not working correctly. For multi-camera work on a Mac, use wired LAN on a body that supports it. Details are on the Mac page.

• USB — the standard route; requires a data-rated USB-C cable and PC(Tether) mode.
• Wired LAN — a physical Ethernet port on the body (box cameras).
• Wired LAN via USB adapter — no RJ45 on the body; a USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter provides it.
• Wi-Fi — supported on the box cameras, but the least reliable option for remote control.

Feature availability differs by body beyond the connection type: menu control, saving and loading camera settings, firmware updating from the application and HDMI recorder control were introduced for a limited set of bodies. We have not verified the current per-model feature matrix line by line, so rather than publish a guess, we point you at Panasonic's page for the definitive supported-function list.
