LUMIX G9II tethering with LUMIX Tether

Connecting the LUMIX G9II
- Install LUMIX Tether 2.6 or later from Panasonic, and update the body's firmware first.
- Power the camera from mains through a DC coupler for any session longer than a few minutes.
- Set Setup → IN/OUT → USB → USB Mode → PC(Tether).
- Connect a data-rated USB cable directly to the computer, then launch the application.
- Select the body in the camera list and confirm live view appears before you start shooting.

What this body does well tethered
- Well suited to product and macro work where the camera stays on a copy stand or rail.
- High Resolution mode files transfer to the computer at full size even though the review window shows a resized preview.
Limitations to plan around
- No wired LAN support.
- The review window resizes XL High Resolution images for display only.
Problems specific to the LUMIX G9II
The app connects but the shutter button does nothing.
A drive mode such as high-resolution or bracketing may be mid-sequence. Reset the drive mode to single and retry.
Older LUMIX Tether releases do not list the G9II.
G9II support was added in version 2.6.
