LUMIX Tether: The Complete Guide (Free Download, Setup, Features) 2026
LUMIX Tether is Panasonic's official, completely free tethering software for LUMIX mirrorless cameras. It connects your camera to a Windows PC or Mac over USB-C (or Ethernet on supported bodies) and gives you live view, full remote control, and direct-to-computer image saving. The current version is v2.12.

What LUMIX Tether actually does
- Live view on a big screen — full-resolution preview on your laptop instead of the 3" rear LCD.
- Remote shutter — fire the camera from the computer, no touching the body.
- Full exposure control — aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance, focus mode, drive mode.
- Direct Save — RAW, JPEG, or both land on your hard drive the instant you shoot.
- Focus bracketing & exposure bracketing — automated sequences for product/macro/HDR work.
- Multi-camera control — up to 12 bodies over Ethernet for 360°/bullet-time rigs.
- Hidden-GUI mode — clean HDMI/USB output for OBS, vMix, Zoom and Teams.

vs. Capture One / Lightroom Tether
Capture One ($24/mo) and Lightroom ($10/mo) both tether LUMIX bodies — but LUMIX Tether is free, gets faster live view (it's first-party), and exposes Panasonic-specific features like Hi-Res mode and synchro scan that the third-party tools don't surface.
